Have you thought of using a black pearl pickguard?

    Splitting SD '59 Humbuckers?

I also think Series/Parallel is probably a better option. It gives a single coil sound (sort of ) and retains its hum canceling.

yet another recommend a Tele PU thread

I have a GFS Vintage '63 in the neck and a 10k Lil Puncher w/coil cut in the bridge of my Standard Tele. Neck is very mellow. The bridge is very stock Tele coil cut and a bit more aggressive in full on bucker mode. Middle is very nice buth with coil cut and without. :rock-on:

    humbucker rings with Fender bridge

I used a short ring and filed it flat. Worked great, lots of clearance for the strings. :headbang1:

    Dragon Tele almost done

They are GFS Dream (neck) and Mean (bridge) 90's. I wanted to be able to change pickups in the future if I wanted to. I just can't ever leave anything alone. :guitarplayer2:

Finally got a good couple of days in Sunny Central NY (Sarcasm) last week. Got it clearcoated and hand buffed. I am learning patience with this build. Just have to wire and string it. Need to go to bed , I'll have to finish it tomorrow.

Help! Clearcoat milked up my my Dragon Tele!

Well, I sanded off the finish and removed the milky lacquer from the wood burning with lacquer thinner and Q-tips. It didn't take that long because there wasn't that much finish on it. I'ts ready for a new coat of sealer. Then I'll use the acrylic clearcoat on a warmer and less humid day. Thanks...

    Mid sixties Melody Maker bodies

I had one that was my main guitar for 30 some years. Bought it stock and modded it many times. I loved it . Never broke anything on it and I wasn't easy on it. I'd love to build a new one. Mine weighed in at 5 lb, but, I also did a lot of routing on it. Humbuckers, preamp, toggles. Gave it to my...

    Mid sixties Melody Maker bodies

I like the double cutaway mid sixties Melody Makers with the matching horns. I think they would sell very well. Very popular1
