Who do you wish you could have seen play live...??

And again. The Mars Volta. Was 15 at the time and in no way old enough to even sneak in to a 18+ gig. Had to wait until I was almost 17..... :laughing7:

Who do you wish you could have seen play live...??

Another one: At the drive-in They did come to Australia recently for Splendour in the Grass festival, but I was in the wrong part of the country at the time. So again, missed out. My sister was working as band manager second hand for the event and saw the band play from side of stage. She was...

Who do you wish you could have seen play live...??

Might be an early Christmas, but probably for 2015, ha. They've been 'Working on new material' for about 4 years already. I saw them 2011 in Melbourne and they said they were 'experimenting with ideas', haha! Apparently they're all working on too many projects separately to focus on Tool.

Who do you wish you could have seen play live...??

Massive Attack. Even had the tickets to see them, this year, but no. AJ Madda, the ****** fat, ****** bogan **** decided to cancel the festival because he couldn't do his job properly, then proceeded to simultaneously **** up the return of Australia's most sought after return festival...

customers who don't understand how a guitar works

Wow, that's ridiculous. Several months ago I went to a tech before a gig for a mod simply wishing for a push pull on the neck pup for single/'bucker control. The guy had about three guitars in line and quoted me one week and $75. Ended up doing it myself in the parking lot at jaycar in 30...

    Open mic night

An evening class in audio production that I attend have a project in place to 'fix up' a local open mic night at a certain pub in town, mainly for the reasons you've mentioned. We've updated/upgraded the gear ten fold, put in place some sort of organization and made an effort to try and reach...

    ANNOUNCEMENT: Gibson styled products

So now that the G shaped products have been canned for Warmoth, is there truly no chance of them being able to reproduce them in the future? Kinda had my heart set on a SG at the end of the year. Shiny poly covered Wenge and gold hardware....but maybe not.  Thanks Gibson, you...

    Portable HiFi players?

Well, a whole range of files. Alot of my music that i've downloaded (payed for!) from the net actually is in FLAC format as I try to source it, but anything that is available to me really. WAV, WM, ACC, MPEG 4. I don't really want any 'external' devices to boost the performance of my current...

    Portable HiFi players?

Trying not to sound rude, but why? Just from the name and a bit of quick Googling, I see they have an inbuilt mic which would kind of seem irrelevant for my purposes.  I'm more of less just looking for an iPod, but with better sound quality that can also power higher impedance headphones (the...

    Portable HiFi players?

Hi all, I haven't posted here for an age. Looks like everyone who used to post regularly here still does. Recently i've started a new audio production class and have been getting into listening to more quality sounding music files through increasingly higher quality gear. I was told at the...

    Girls and Guitars.

AND she's damn hilarious. I saw her play at the Palais theatre in Melbourne where they came for a gig that they wanted to play after they recorded for the soundtrack to the Pirates of the Caribbean movie and she gave a hilarious speech in which tghe attempted swearing lots, which was fairly...
