I have a wenge/ebony neck thats a couple of years old, I left it raw and there is a spot that the grain is starting to raise a bit.  I was wondering if adding a oil finish to the neck would smooth out the grain. IF I did choose to do that should I sand it before? and should I be concerned with...

I find this very handy. http://www.stewmac.com/shopby/product/0670 I usually measure from the 12th fret and adjust both E's from the bottom of the string.  Set it so it doesn't buzz and match the other one to the same height.  Not too technical but it works for me.

any tips or suggestions for a scraped binding?  I have a quilt top with dye and a alder back thats clean wil some slight over spill with the dye. I thought it might look cool to sand/scrape the dye off the back and edges and leave the back natural.  Any suggestions on how to keep it neet and...

ya know you are probably right Cagey, that's how I ended up playing a souped up strat with a LSR nut, locking tuners and a Wilkinson.  I'd probably sink a bunch of money into a guitar just to find out that it will not stay in tune again.  If I fixed it why break it  :laughing7:

I have a homemade pedalbord. 2 power supplys (boss tuner pedal/MXR brick) and an assortment of Boss, MXR, DOD, Maxon pedals with a Crybaby and a Whammy pedal.  I've been looking at the Pedaltrain PT pro.  Any opinions?
