If it's relevant and helps at all, I am doing this with a hipshot hardtail bridge, but the .125/.175 version. Have strat body routed for narrow-spaced strat. The mounting screws are only a little off, as anticipated, not enough to matter. The string holes, however are - from top down it looks...

Really like this, and the tung finish turned out so nicely! I used tung-based finished and it took a lot of coats, I guess pure tung oil is thick enough to only need two!

If anyone's interested, this is how a hipshot bridge looks installed over the narrow-spaced strat bridge holes... bridge screws close to line up but the strings don't. Hopefully is ok.

Some progress - controls finally  drilled (I deliberated for ages then just went for it, hope it works out!) ferrules installed, cavity lined, bridge and strap buttons attached. Next is wiring once I sort out some screws for mounting the pikcups.

Consider a raw neck over maple :)

Yes you can, this is what my strat has. Can't comment on playability yet as it's still in progress.

Really enjoyed Oceans, nice work :D I'd say the drums are a little high in the mix for that track, but not in the others. What guitar are you playing here?

:) Somewhat regret having the default Strat 1 tone control hole drilled, was originally going to use either a vol pot there but with option #2 there is a mini toggle in the large hole instead. Nothing a washer can't fix.

The pic above is just a larger version of  #4 ;) Thanks for all the input guys, looks like #2 is ahead. Layouts other than what I've pictured are valid suggestions too...

I don't get it. Then again, I don't really get more than 2 pickups in a guitar anyway ;)

I took some photos of possible different switch locations, anyone want to help me decide? I'm leaning towards #2, #4 or #5.
