Everyone in my circles are doing everything they can and it seems like most other people are around here too. Even if only half the people do it, the payoffs could be huge. Here's something I wrote the other day, it was intended for people I know but I suspect that it applies to most of the US...
Not sure about most insurances, but mine covered it. I probably had a $25 copay or something and that's it. The only side effect I had was if I took it and didn't eat anything I had an upset stomach. It also seems to give people crazy vivid dreams and it did for me too but I liked that side effect.
Chantix seems to be pretty effective to quit smoking as long as you don't start having the side effects. It's pretty unreal actually, you just don't even feel like smoking once the right amount has built up, it's almost bizarre.

Have you considered in person lessons? The reason I say that is because you think you might have bad habits and a person actually watching you play might be able to provide more insight.
That would make sense. I'm talking about budget guitars like a 3 year old Squier or Yamaha acoustic, I was just trying to make the point that musicians would still be able to access affordable instruments regardless of people flipping more expensive ones.
In general, I like Harbor Freight if I want to use a tool one or two times. If it's something I'm going to be using a lot, I buy something more expensive.
First one: I like to do things once just to make sure I'm capable. Then I'd rather just pay someone to do it. I did the same with building amps, working on cars, and dozens of other things.
Second and third ones: Entirely the custom aspect. It's a good way to get some totally unique guitars...
