Speaking of live music name your top 3 concert experiences.

Hmm difficult.... 1) Roger Waters, Birmingham NEC, 2007 - All you need to know is that RW and his band played Dark Side of the Moon in it's entirety and paid tribute to Syd through the set. 2) Porcupine Tree, Norwich UEA LCR 2007 - This was my second PT gig, the first gig was mostly song from...

    Guitar Magazines

+1 Although whenever I go to buy it I keep finding that all my local newsagents have tends to be Total Guitar. I really ought to subscribe but I only tend to read guitar mags when they have articles that interest me.

    I'm really an addict....

I've not sold anything since I built my warmoth (strictly speaking it's a halfmoth but my point still stands) however it has triggered a tendency to tweak things, my lapsteel got a new pickup, I keep thinking about new pickups for my Steinberger (anything would be better than EMG selects). I...

I know the Canadians don't use the term state, I was being lazy. ;)

what are the guitars you have let go of?

Some generic Spanish guitar - first guitar, never liked it that much I always wanted to play an electric, glad to be rid of it as it came with a lot of unhappy memories of my first teacher who was a real jerk, I was quite happy when I heard he'd gone out of business. Westfield LP clone - This...

Interesting, according to the sign up page, despite living in the UK I must select a US or Canadian state. :laughing7:

what is the best cheap pedal youve ever had?

Probably my £20 Russian Big Muff. Although it's been far from reliable, I've had to replace the battery holder once and fiddle around with the wiring on a few occasions, plus I reckon I do need to replace the tone pot at some point as it very noisy, that could be an issue though as ideally I'd...

how many guitars do you have?

Not enough :( Semi Warmoth Strat Epiphone G400 Steinberger GU-Deluxe modified Lapsteel even my rig is rather pathetic: Amps: Fender Princeton 65DSP WEM ER40 + H/H 1X12" PA cab Effects: Boss DD3 BYOC Armstrong Twin (orange squeezer/green ringer in one) BYOC Lazy Sprocket (Boss Slow Gear)...

    BYOC: Armstrong Twin

Just a quick update to say that I've finally got round to adding some basic labelling to both the Armstrong Twin and Lazy Sprocket, I did just use a basic label maker but it doesn't look quite as bad as the photos suggest, my camera is very good at focusing on stuff I'd ideally like to hide. ;)

    Burns Brian May Tri-Sonic Pickups

Never used them myself but they are larger than strat style single coils so you will need to do a bit of work to get them to fit in a regular strat body.

    You know that feeling............

And to think I'm happy with merely melting things accidentally, I used to burn my hands quite regularly and have a few permanent scars to prove it but I've managed to learn how to avoid burning myself, which is good thing since if I were to drop my gas iron while using it I would probably set my...

    BYOC: Armstrong Twin

I know, I've been given all sorts of useful advice there, and found some nice new pedals to build, so far the list is: WEM Fuzz, one knob Fuzz Face clone, a weird 8 bit chip tune style pedal and a couple of valve distortions. :icon_biggrin:

    Kashmir

Simply incredible, I'm not a fan of the b bender or the standard tele pickup setup but I really like that.

    DIY pedals

That looks like a fairly good selection of pedals, may I suggest that to start with (if possible) you get the confidence booster, it's a very basic (and cheap) booster circuit designed by BYOC to be a simple introduction to building kits like this, you will need to supply stuff like a case and...
