What a nice guitar. And a cool idea with the tailpiece. I have two of these that will get this treatment now thanks to you (SE Singlecut, SE Soapbar II). Yes, these are GREAT guitars for the money, and not just for the money, they also stand on their own merits of tone, feel, playablilty, etc...

Tighter is better than looser. Give it a few days. If she doesn't relax, and let the neck slip in, I think I would take it to a local machine shop. Unless you work at one, like I do. :D Not more than a 15 minute job to carefully clamp/mill that pocket out a CH. May cost you a six pack. If...

Nope. Rode it for a couple of years, and sold it. Felt lucky that I didn't hurt myself on it to be honest. Too much power. Too easy to tickle it and be doing a buck fitty. Not much time to brake if a deer pops out of the woods up here, if you can dig it. Looking for a Yamaha Roadstar that I can...

I agree, tfarny. I've got plenty of strats, so it's not like I was really in search of the elusive duck on this one, but I didn't want a one dimensional shred/hair guitar either. It's just nice to have three distinct tones (which it now has), with the combo position (both pickups on)...

Ended up swapping out that neck pickup for a Duncan PA-STK1N This is a great match with the X2N in this mahogany bodied mutt. Couldn't be happier! (Used the hotrails in the bridge position of my Charvel S/S/S mutt, and it reallly woke that unit up!) Win Win :guitarplayer2:

Nope, no quack, but a nice balance of both pickups. Sorry, still owe you that sound clip... yesterday was all about the football and nachos. :D
