with a nut width of 1-11/16" , that is as wide as a lot of 5 string basses. Would it be possible to make a 5 string tele bass with warmoth parts?
Could I use a 5 string neck in a tele body?
ok, another question. I am getting a maple neck/maple fretboard that I am going to ca finish to make the fretless last.
Do I poly the whole neck first? or tape off the fingerboard---poly the back of the neck, then ca glue the fingerboard?
I guess it boils down to---will ca go on top of poly?
I like the look and I don't look at the fretboard anyway. I usually use the dots when I look. Thanks line6, I just wanted to see a good example. What woods are those? I like em. Are they finished?
are there any suggestions for tuner screws and string trees with wenge necks? I want wenge for the feel/look and strength, but I keep reading about how hard it is to work. Any problems that I need to look out for with that?
There is no option for routing for a battery box on a hollow body tele bass. I assume, to just use some of the hollow area to put the batteries in a battery box? My problem is where and how to secure it?
I am thinking of using this
http://www.minwax.com/wood-products/preparation/minwax-water-based-prestain-wood-conditioner
then this
http://www.minwax.com/wood-products/stains/minwax-water-based-wood-stain
in a bold color on a maple and a swamp ash body
then using this to cover it...
