Hi all, A few months ago I was searching for a comparison of a Brown Dye finish to a Tigers Eye Dye finish, but I couldn't really find one. So I ordered a Brown Dye tele body (turned out to be amazing) and I wanted to share the comparison with the Tigers Eye Dye tele I build 6 or 7 years ago...

I just finished my new Warmoth Stratocaster build, hope I'm still in time to enter this month's competition. All the other guitars look pretty cool, tough competition this month… Wouldn't mind losing to any of these guitars.

It seems to me like you didn't wire the back of your volume pot to the back of the other pot, I'd start by doing that to make a ground connection.

I use a combination of P-rails neck and JB bridge, with Fender TBX tonepots on the two seperate singlecoils on the P-rails to brighten/beef them up, I love em. I would recommand trying TBX tone controls before swapping the pickups, they really improve the sound IMO. here's my tele thinline '72...

Could be very usefull, I'm from the Netherlands myself. I use a couple of suppliers, both from Holland and other countries.

I own a Blackstar HT-5 (without the reverb) and an HT-60, and they both rock. You can definately do metal with an HT-5, with the controls set at about 12 o'çlock you get a really nice in between mesa and marshall sound, you really don't need much more gain than 3/4. Metal players seem to believe...

What pickups did you use? Please note that the Seymour Duncan wiring colors are probably different from the colors used by other brands. I have an overview of pickup color codes for some brands if you'd like.

I actually used metric speedknobs on my CTS pots by heating the tip up with a lighter or a candle, and then pushing it on so it 'melts' to the right size, works pretty well,

I would use a 3 way switch for series/singlecoil/parallel wiring, a TBX tone control, and a push/push volume for a 7 sound mod (adding the neck pickup to the bridge pickup for tele style sound). I have it on my strats with a Duncan JB brigde humbucker and it rocks!

Hi, the first one will definately work, I've used that one before. Looking at the second one I think this would also work, allthough I think this option is less obvious. I'dd go for the first one, since it's easier to comprehand, but you also might want to consider the option of using both...
