10" Replacement speakers for bass cab

Yeah, the ohm consideration has limited the options somewhat. The cab needs to be 2 or 4 ohms as thats the rating on the SVT. I dont know if I need 200w speakers but it's kind of reassuring to now I don't need to think twice wether the cab will survive a wild rehearsal :) I totaly agree with...

10" Replacement speakers for bass cab

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into EV. I agree, the cab is rated 450w, and I'm afraid the SVT will kill it sooner or later if I do not up the handling: 200w speakers it is! I'm not worried about swithching to speakers with lower sensitivity either, i have power to spare. Thanks guys!

10" Replacement speakers for bass cab

Hello fellow Warmoholics! I'm considering a speaker upgrade to my Asdown MAG 414T Deep  (EVO II?) cabinet. It's a great cabinet for the ridiculously low price, nice warm sound, when correcting for the horribel non-adjustable tweeter. But Im not getting all I want out of it. Main issues are: -...

    Charcoal frost PJ

Thanks! The bass is still going strong. It's become a recording veteran and it has done a lot of gigs. Yeah, it's a bit neck heavy, but neckdive is really not a problem. I think the swamp ash -  wenge/ebony is a great combo for bass.

Iron Maiden walks into a Norwegian bar.....

You're right. We're so privileged up here that we use most of of our spare time finding and complaining about minor issues  :laughing7:. almost a national hobby. The governments official view on alcohol prices: The primary function of the high taxes on alcohol is to curb the use. The revenues...

Iron Maiden walks into a Norwegian bar.....

Screwed? oh yes we are. The price of beer and almost all other types of drinks a grown man/woman might fancy drinking on a night out is ridiculous. You'll end up paying 10-12$ for half a liter of beer. You can get a pint for ca. 35 kroner(ca 5$). But the quality of service, patrons and the place...

Going back to finish the last 38 days of army-life!

Yup, one year compulsory service. (IMO an unfair "draft" as a lower and lower percentage each year actually complete the service) When I served there was NO counselling on future careers other than what the army could offer; noncom training->officer school, recrutiment to the professional wing...

Denmark rulez the ice! (no more) :-)

Congrats to the danes! Sweden looked strong beating the Swiss so it will be an interesting match. Following Norway this championship has been emotionally straining  :icon_biggrin: Can't say I'm diappointed, we've played some great matches, but the way we crashed and burned against Canada and...

Hi! Cool neck! I'm thinking of doing a warmoth "vintage" P project myself in the near future. It will be interesting to seee how yours evolve. I'm Jørund (Kjellson) Hjeltnes. I don't trust the "ø" to show up correctly (go scandinavia!) so I tend to make variations on the theme :toothy11: Oh, and happy new year everyone!
