Anyone ever adapted a Warmoth body for a common 24-fret neck?

Awesome. I knew Musikraft made 24 fret necks, but I assumed they had the stupid overhang like 'W'. So I've been paying custom builders a fortune to make necks and bodies with 24 frets that mate to the body with a comfortable neck joint. I really wish 'W' would get on board with this, and...

Greg Howe's 24 Fret Strat (Fender?)

Usually, the neck joint is relocated and inch or so closer towards the bridge. Greg's guitar appears to join the body at the 19th fret (instead of the 17th fret). So you can either move the neck joint closer to the bridge (or move the bridge closer to the neck joint). Or you can extend the...

Greg Howe's 24 Fret Strat (Fender?)

That's funny, because Ibanez make a 30 fret guitar now!!! It looks being ridiculous to me (probably the same way many of look at 24 frets as being ridiculous and excessive). When I see 30 frets, I just have to ask why not 36? That would be 3 octaves, but instead the neck is still "incomplete" to...

Greg Howe's 24 Fret Strat (Fender?)

That looks like it could be the same guitar. From that angle it appears it still have that cursed blocky heel design though. The issue for me is indeed having a "true 24 fret" design. Not a mini-guitar or reduced scale. I just want a strat with 24 frets (and improved heel). I don't want to...

Greg Howe's 24 Fret Strat (Fender?)

It appears to have a spaghetti font Fender logo to me. Charvel's Guthrie Govan model also has a great looking option for 24 frets. Beings as they are sister companies, it'd be nice if they both offered models in the US like this.

Greg Howe's 24 Fret Strat (Fender?)

Greg Howe was on the podcast for "Oscar's Guitar Shop" recently. I didn't catch the show, but I saw the photo on Oscar's FB page. This means W will start making these parts for us too right? :icon_biggrin:

New Body: Fender HM Strat please

Thanks for that link above. What a great resource for making these little comparisons. Does anyone know much about Fender's 24 fret strat from just a few years back? I guess it was only marketed overseas. Trying to find some info on it.

Warmoth Logo in Fender's Spaghetti Logo font?

I have a few guitars that are still missing logos. It's easy enough to find Fender logos, and Warmoth logos, but does anyone have a Warmoth logo put together with Fender's font style? Ie - the font style below... Better yet, does anyone have a source for custom stick-on logos (ie - vinyl...

    Anybody Make Waterslide decals?

Does anyone make their own custom decals? I'm not not interested in a counterfeit Fender, but I'm not crazy about Warmoth's font/logo either. The raised metallic logo's look cool (but only on other people's guitars ha ha ha ha). I'd love a Warmoth logo done up in the "spaghetti font" (gold...

    24-Fret Ibanez Style

The fretboard radius is 16" or so (430mm). So it's pretty flat, which makes them feel even thinner (and/or less round). As for some of the other questions/suggestions; there's really no compatibility between this neck / body and Fender. This neck is solid (no overhang), so it's about an inch...

    24-Fret Ibanez Style

"Sorry but it looks more like a strat to me than an RG/Jem." Yep, that was the goal. Success!!! :) And I am in total agreement regarding FR trems and ultra-thin necks. They just arent' for me. This is based on a Jem neck, which isn't quite as thin as the RG. It's not much thicker, but...

    24-Fret Ibanez Style

First, this is not a Warmoth build (it's 100% custom build). I know there are plenty of folks interested in these types of guitars/features since this subject comes up every so often (and immediately gets dismissed by the luddite crowd  :(    So, this post is for those of you who appreciate...

    anyone use custom made earplugs?

Then I'm sold. We have an audiologist in town that fits them. I guess I need to set up an appointment, finally. Thanks, Gregg

    anyone use custom made earplugs?

I have a question about "musicians earplugs".... Do they still provide that "finger in the ear" effect? Why do I ask? Well I also sing in my band, and often rely on that effect to aid in my ability to hear myself (especially when monitor mixes are not up to snuff). I'd love to be able to hear...
