I've even expanded my project more after doing some research today. I'm going to buy a set neck elsewhere and modify the neck pocket in my Warmoth body.
So far I have struck out with most of my special requests at Warmoth. I'm guessing that workload is high and there's not as much time to do any...
My next project I'm thinking I'm gonna order a paddle head and do my own headstock design and inlay.
In the past I have ordered all my stuff from Warmoth finished. This one I will order bare and am looking for a place who does a kick ass dye burst finish.
Any recommendations?

That is awesome Greg!
The few options it didn't offer me that will impact my price/order was stainless vs. nickle frets, peghead veneer, and a few more finish options; in my case transparent color on the neck and dye finish on the veneeer.

Thanks Bob, Thanks guys :headbang:
I'm Sold on the LPS :occasion14:
I already have my spec sheet in at Warmoth to make sure all of my stuff is feasible.
One last question and this one probably goes out to you and/or dmraco. I am going to mount the neck using counter sunk ferrules like the...
I was thinking about doing the same thing to my flame maple neck. In general is neck wood harder than flame maple used for laminant?
That's a bummer if I can dye mine. I totally had an awsome vision of this guitar in my head!

Another question before I place my next order.
I plan to have trapezoid inlays with binding on my neck. I was originally going to order a flame maple back but now I'm leaning towards padouk as I really like the feel of unfinished necks. Despite the argument over finished vs. unfinished maple, I...
I would say the LPS is better. But it is not a good comparison. The LPS has a black Korina body, the LP is Mahogany. Both have flame maple tops and flame maple/rosewood necks. The LP has a wilkinson whammy, and LPS has a Gotoh 510. Pickups are DiMarzio Beed/Evo Neck on the LPS and diMarzio...
The strength was just a minor concern for me. What I'm most concerned about is any degradation in sustain and/or tone given the reduced area of wood to wood contact. I've only owned stat style guitars and have noticed a strat with an extremely tight neck pocket fit does have a noticeably better...
Hi Guys:
I'm putting together my spec list now for my second Warmoth build. This time I want to do an all mahogany solid body guitar with a 24 3/4" scale. I really like the look of the LPS but I have one concern. Looking at the photos of the LPS, it looks like the neck pocket is essentially...
