My next project I'm thinking I'm gonna order a paddle head and do my own headstock design and inlay. In the past I have ordered all my stuff from Warmoth finished. This one I will order bare and am looking for a place who does a kick ass dye burst finish. Any recommendations? BA

That is awesome Greg! The few options it didn't offer me that will impact my price/order was stainless vs. nickle frets, peghead veneer, and a few more finish options; in my case transparent color on the neck and dye finish on the veneeer. BA

I was thinking about doing the same thing to my flame maple neck. In general is neck wood harder than flame maple used for laminant? That's a bummer if I can dye mine. I totally had an awsome vision of this guitar in my head! BA

I would say the LPS is better.  But it is not a good comparison.  The LPS has a black Korina body, the LP is Mahogany.  Both have flame maple tops and flame maple/rosewood necks.  The LP has a wilkinson whammy, and LPS has a Gotoh 510.  Pickups are DiMarzio Beed/Evo Neck on the LPS and diMarzio...
