Wouldnt you just rather see Yngwie Malmsteen Sweep-pick?

I love listening to Malmsteen. For one song. Then I need to forget about him for a month so that the next time I hear one of his songs it's interesting again. And this from a guy who loves pure technical mucis and classical.

    metal neck

Maybe go for a bright neck wood (just look at the descriptions on the warmothh site and pick a wood that you like the look of and will match whatever finish you're planning) just to be on the safe side - but if you use EMGs your guitar will probably sound the same whether it's made of 1000$...

    Homemade 1x12 guitar cab

Fair enough - we used to stock Krank and I wasn't overly impressed myself, but taste is taste. Regardless, if you're going close to 2" thick on the wood you should be okay, thinner than that and I would seriously recommend quality laminate. The difference will be when you hit low notes...

    Homemade 1x12 guitar cab

Since this is a closed back I'm assuming you're looking for it to be good for heavy distortion (plus your name is Metalman...) so stay away from solid woods, just get the absolute best quality plywood you can afford, and thicker the better. You don't want the wood to "sound" like anything, you...

Short scale Bass Bodies and Necks?

The store I work for is the biggest retailer of Dingwalls in Canada, we've been selling them for a long time and we get one-off custom Super-J models to stock on our salesfloors with walnut necks. Sheldon Dingwall is a great guy and I would highly recommend any of his basses.

    Indian explorer

I was expecting a Hindu themed guitar! Sometimes I forget that some people still call Natives (or First Nations as we call them up here) Indians... oh Columbus, you were soooo far off. :laughing7:

    bari

It was pretty loose, but it did alright (I did say it barely worked). I think the guages were something like 14-68. Distorted it was junk, clean it passed, but barely. My point was more that 28 (point whatever) is actually long enough to pull it off decently with some mother heavy strings. I'd...

I actually disagree as to whether this is possible and what impact scale length has, I've tuned baritones with 27" scale lengths that low and it worked (barely)and Warmoth's is even longer. Scale length has as much to do with tension and pitch as string gauge, the same gauge of string at the...

Scalloped ebony is about the sexiest fretboard an axe can get. Nice work.

I think it's a bit funny to call any spec like this "correct" or "incorrect" - though obviously yellow is an incorrect colour for a guitar (wink).
