Witness Lines & Wipe -on Poly

Does anyone know how to get rid of witness lines caused by sanding,  when using wipe-on poly?  I've heard additonal coats might work, or is there anything else?  I've thought about thinning or using a spray can poly over it.  Any suggestions?

One or two thin coats on top should make them dissappear.  Use thinned coats of whatever you originally used and wipe them on super thin - thin to the point of just barely dampening the surface.

Witness lines are like the grain lines of wood.  When you lay down a finish - any finish - it is never truly level.  On a micro level it will look like a wavy bedsheet.  Block sanding cuts all those uneven waves off at the same height.  Finishes that do not 'burn in' between coats will then show witness lines - refractive difference between each of the layers that has been cut into.  Polishes that are designed to fill micro scratches can hide this pretty well, but as the polish wears off the lines show up again.  Best to cover them with a couple new layers.
