Will a Suhr neck fit a Warmoth body?

I have my hands on a dirt cheap Suhr S3. Problem is, I don`t like the body, a slightly smaller, modernish take on the strat so If I buy it, I`d like to get a Warmoth S body and transplant everything over.  I can`t find any specs on these necks online so does anyone here have first hand info on this topic?

No first hand knowledge, but i'd say contact the seller and ask them to measure the heel for you.. :dontknow:

Again, no firsthand knowledge. I do know that Suhr used to work in Fender's Custom Shop before starting his own company, so there is a chance that he simply kept on using the size specs that he was used to. Plus it's gotten anymore where bolt on necks are the same dimensions as Fender more often than not.
You could try calling Warmoth and asking if they have any knowledge on the specifics. Good Luck on your quest.

Speaking of which, can someone provide a tutorial on how to exactly measure the specs on a Strat style neck to determine if it is compatible with a standard Warmoth or Fender body?

Width = 2-3/16" (56 mm) Length = 3" (76 mm) Pocket Depth = 5/8" (16 mm)
The width is measured at the very end. Farther up where it leaves the body is 2-1/8
The length is the whole pocket length.

Possibly not without some modification or tweaking. For one thing the Suhr neck does not have a fretboard overhang so the pocket of a Fender spec body would be in the wrong place as the Suhr neck would sit too far forward.

You might be better looking at a Suhr Classic Pro if the S3 or Suhr Standard body is not your preference.

As far as I can find out, the Suhr has a 25-1/2 in. scale length. So the only way to know is to take exact measurements of the heel of the Suhr neck and compare to the pocket size on a Warmoth body.
As stratamania said, there is just as much possibility that it won't fit as there is that it will.

Did you contact suhr?  When I had the reverse issue with a reverend , I needed a warmoth wide neck, and Jeff Naylor wrote back telling me it would work.  Nice guy and makes great though under apprecited pups.  All I had to do was get a neck without bolt holes.  So if you're wondering .... warmoth necks go on reverend bodies (or at least they did 6 years ago when I did this.)
