I once had a project arrive right when I was supposed to start studying for a final.

I made the mistake of thinking "I'll just mess with it for an hour or so and then..."

I never studied for the final. Showed up late for it even.

But I'm sure you'd never do that. Just take a few minutes to get familiar with it, THEN study.

That's just wrong

Whad? it just came out that way. I noticed that it *almost* corresponded to a haiku. What's wrong about a guy being torn between life responsibilities (succeeding, and being productive) and life dreams (thus the warmoth). I think they've made many many many movies about that - successful movies - so it can't be all that wrong, right?

On the same lines of being torn - I routed the neck pickup to a humbucker instead of packing boxes for my move to Calgary. Surprised at how little time it took. Thought about it honestly for at least 20x the amount of time it took to actually rout the thing.
On the upside, exam's done, and I graduated!

Ahem. So. Yes. See - the thing is... Yes.
So my wife's great camera is in the boxes. So I won't call this wood porn - but bad pictures are still pics.
so sorry.

Was worried that the tele rout would force me to have to rout my HB much higher - but it didn't - the HB is about 3/64" higher than the tele rout was, which incidentally is only a little more than the thickness of the finish, and much less than the tolerance between the rout and the HB.

Sneak peek.

My in law just finished he final setup.
Says it plays like a charm.
My sis will be bringing it with her when she comes to visit next time.
I don't plan to leave that headstock on. I'll prolly switch it out for an all wenge warmoth neck with ivoroid binding and pearl blocks.

Damn, that carved tele and 2 f-holes is about as COOL as they come.  I wonder how it would look with a couple of chrome mini humbuckers poking out from that black body?
