I recently received my Warmoth construction Strat neck (Roasted Maple with clear satin nitro finish) and I noticed some white coloring between the 14th and 19th frets. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what it might be or how I can remove it. See attached.

It sorta looks like leftover rubbing/polishing compound. Get some Naphtha and a soft cloth after it. If that doesn't clear it up, you might want to say something to Warmoth.

The neck is made out of wood. Wood has discolorations sometimes.

I understand that, but it can clearly be seen on top of the inlay as well, especially on the 17th fret. So, it's not the wood. It's in or on top of the finish.

Thanks. I'll try that.
