Where would you drill for a phase switch?

I have a Warmoth Nomad body, and when finished, the controls will be placed just like the enclosed picture.  Where would you suggest that I drill to add a toggle switch to flip the phase?  This is a difficult problem, and any advice is welcome.  :headbanging:

I wouldn't drill a new hole but instead replace one of the pots with one that has switching capabilities. Like the Fender S-1:

Any dpdt switched pot would do the job.

I agree that pulling a pot to change the phase would be best!

Unfortunately... this is all EMG parts (I didn't mention that), and:

- first volume pot, pull selects between H or S (neck)
- second volume pot, pull selects between H or S (bridge)
- tone pot is EMG EXG, basically a mid-cut tone pot/circuit board (so I can't replace it)
- the phase inversion is really a circuit board on a DIP switch (http://www.emgpickups.com/accessories/guitar-accessories/phase/pi2.html)

So I'm somewhat stuck... I fear that I have to drill.

Hmm, I guess so!

Firstly, are you absolutely sure you need/want the switch? If you've already bought it, have you tried just wiring it in to test the effect? (Yes, I know they're not cheap!)

Not sure there are any 'good' places to put a switch, from an accessible vs obstructive pov. I'd just place it in line with the other controls one way or another. I mocked up some possibilities - in my order of preference, left to right:

I suspect that there may not be room for the first and last options.

I'd put it there
or opposite on the upper side but the same distance from the 2 rear most knobs, or maybe inline with the 3 way switch

... but note that this is just a quick dab to mark the location ... it would be a round hole and one of these mini toggles
with a flat(ish) black handle

Perhaps I should desolder the potentiometer from the EGX, and the switch from the phase inverter, attach them to a new push/pull pot, and do things the right way.... :headbang5

I wanted to thank everybody for the great advice!

There are push/pull pots with DPDT switches on them, so I will desolder my "EGX" and phase inverter, attach the two little boards left over to a push/pull pot, and my guitar will have three pots, each push/pull!

Thanks again, I would have never even thought to do this without your input!  :headbanging:

I still think I'll merge the two EMG devices together, but I noticed the enclosed design and thought that it looked pretty clean.  Two toggle switches (in my case) would be for phase, and for on/off.
