What projects do you have planned for 2010.

If the money problem figures itself out, I'll be building myself a neckthrough wenge/ash Gecko shaped 5 string bass for my sister.
I try to make a 2x12 cab this year as well.

I have a Strat project that's still in the drawing stages.  Mostly I'm in the same boat as Jack with all of my 2009 projects to finish.

The one project above all others: To start recording my music. Having an income will help immensely.

'56 Super finish it up
my take on the 5E3 Deluxe... got one chassis left here
three tube "Pre-Verb" units that should rock
assemble a guitar from the body I got a month ago
Finish up the tank on my Harley
replace the u-joints on my truck, and front wheel bearings, and brakes all around
etc etc

I've got a fairly standard P on the way, minus the rosewood neck. Next year, I think it'll be crazy nonconventional bass time. I'm thinking a J with a 2-band EQ, possibly a tremolo on a bubinga body and wenge neck, or hardtail with a basswood body and wenge neck.. It'd be like combining a Warwick and a EBMM Bongo.

For sure, going to get Billy Bo going. And possibly another Tele, and a Charvel-esque strat.... :hello2:

Billy Bo and the Tele, for sure won't be Warmoth, but most likely the strat will... :icon_thumright:

A proper pedal setup, a pure-awesome, gig-volume guitar amp of some kind (probably in the 30 watt range, probably from ceriatone), and at least one non-guitar stringed instrument. Another warmoth in 2010? doubtful at this point. I may instead go back and put Earvanas and more advanced tone controls on some of my gear. If I'm still playing bass in this band in six months I'll definitely want a second bass for variety.

The Carved Tele gives me huge GAS but I really, truly have my bases covered electric-wise. I may try to make a jack of all trades live guitar - hardtail HSH strat, like a superstrat from the 50s, mostly out of pieces I already own.

Hmm... try a 60's look. Aged LPB, white pickguard, 2 covered humbuckers and a white strat middle pup, etc...
Except non-cbs headstock.

want to do a swamp ash tele with a maple on maple neck in Daphne Blue.
Beautiful!

Sweet, for some reason I just love the look of the blue on a Tele. Nice touch, painting the headstock to match the body.

I'm looking at finally getting the Jazzmonster project finished, come hell or high water! Needs routing for the back double battery box, then away we go onto the next step which is wiring it up then off to the repairer for final setup.

Also hoping to 'refurbish' my Strat by replacing the beat up body (sunburst 1983 model or so) and getting a 24.75" scale conversion neck to replace worn frets on the original 25.5 Fender neck(maple/maple). Will be transferring as much of the hardware and electronics across to the new body and neck as I can.

But the project that is looming large for the start of 2010 is a custom order acoustic guitar from Maton. There are some very sentimental, emotional reasons for this project and I'm just waiting for their factory to re-open to get things underway. First up is spec'ing out the guitar & getting a quote, then if I proceed, laying some deposit down. The guitar will hopefully be a fitting tribute to my Late Mother who passed away just 10 days before Christmas (yes, it has been a horrible 'festive' season for me this year  ), and who put up with my incessant very loud guitar playing when I was living at home and never once yelled out the immortal words "turn that thing down!". Maton were pioneers with Australian woods, and make a pretty darn good product with very good acoustic-electric pickups, so I am hoping that I can get some Victorian Blackwood on the guitar, maybe some Jarrah or Mulga, and special inlays....
