Another vote for no pickguard.

Beautiful Sapele lam top. Let it shine.  :headbang:

Chrome hardware might actually look better on this than gold, too.

Have you got the Kinmans yet?  Lollar P90s do get a  good wrap here if you are still undecided.

I did get the Kinmans and tried them in the rout. I liked what he had to say on his site about noise reduction and preservation of the P-90 sound. We'll see, the sound clip sounds great.
Maybe I'll downplay the gold (the pickups have gold screws though and the inlay on the neck is gold acrylic) and make some combo of matte black and subtle gold. Man, hard decision.
Her she is with the pups and also one with her sister.

I'd like to know how to make the photo appear more normal sized rather than the giant thing it turns into (at least when I click on it). Maybe a Mac thing. :icon_scratch:

Look in your camera settings...You should find that...

You adjust the size in preview. Basically double click on the photo, Preview will open it, and you choose what size to make it.

:o i wanna know what wood that top on the LP is. Wow!
Thanks. It's Zebrawood with a satin finish. I believe flat sawn but could be wrong.

Thanks. I tried that when I posted the last photos and brought them down from 4 mgs to under 1. When I click on the photos they still come up huge and out of focus looking. Oh well. Thanks again. Maybe I'll try pasting directly on the post?

Did you save the file AFTER resizing the picture ?

Good question as that is axactly what I would do, but this time I did save it after resizing. On other posts the pics aren't small thumbs that need to be clicked to mag. I guess I should ask how that is done?I posted these by going through additional options.
OH well hopefully I'll figure it out as this guitar gets built. I'll move it over to works in progress. btw I'm thinking of putting in the graph tech ghost system. Their demo is very impressive.

I think I figured it out! Finally.
Let's try this:

Congratulation man !!! I wish I could chose that fretboard for my new JB !

Your guitar deserves to be the guitar of the month !

Will you put golden hardware ?
No pickguard please ! That would be an offense ! Well, to my eyes...

Thanks man! As you can probably tell, I'm pretty excited about it. I'm trying to decide if I use gold hardware or matte black. I have 2 black soapbar P-90's with gold screws. I have pretty much decided not to put a pickguard on it and I still don't know what kind of truss cover either. Man this is tough. It wouldn't have been so hard if Warmoth didn't do such a god job.

Gold...Black...Both suits very well.

For black version, just compare with this JB (black hardware version), it might help you choose : http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=3189.0

Black&Gold pickups do it ! I like that very much, but this is my opinion only, ask others, close your eyes and imagine your new baby...

But that fretboard is a killer, really, I mean it !

That bass looks great. I just got off the phone with Graphtech and the only tune-o-matic type bridge they offer is gold with black string saver saddles, not an all black version so I think I'll go with it and it'll end up being a combination.
The neck was a unique choice FB and not to sound like I've been smoking something but it reminds me of either Vincent Van Gogh or the painting "The Scream" with the round face like things on it. It totally surpassed my expectation. Thanks again! I'll post more pictures as it moves along in the progress section. :occasion14:

I totally see the Munch painting in the fingerboard - I agree, it's very cool.

Even better with the Bart Simpson version!

Yep, same feeling...But, paintings, well...I'm color blind ! That's why I needed a 3D fretboard and a dyed body for my babe, a bit in relief ! Somewhat psychedelic...
