This was my first build with any Warmoth parts. It won't be the last. The neck is outstanding. I used Fender locking tuners and a vintage ashtray bridge.
I always flip the control plates on my Tele's. I like having the volume and tone forward, ala Bill Kirchen, to make swells easier.

That looks mighty nice. Beautiful top. Looking forward to the next build.

I also like the control plate reversed.

Gorgeous mate. A nice take on the classic 'butterscotch blonde tele' except souped up!

Pictures of a beautiful Tele build is definitely a right proper way to make an entrance. Fine guitar!

Thanks, guys. It is a joy to play.
I have 8 other electrics and a couple of acoustics, plus 6 cigar box guitars, but this Tele is almost always the first one I reach for.

That's a lovely twang-machine.  Thanks for sharing.

I'm a big fan of the reversed control plate, in theory.  I know I would prefer not to have to reach so far for the volume knob for swells.  I grew up playing Strats, and unlike many folks, it feels totally natural to me to have the knob right there - probably because I mostly play fingerstyle, and don't strum much so I have a much more controlled approach with my picking hand.  But anyway - I haven't built a reverse-controlled Telecaster that way yet mostly because on my prior builds, the neck pickup leads were just that much too short to pull it off without splicing.  Maybe next time...
