Warmoth Braintrust-

Does anyone have the specifics on what's specifically different about JM pickguards between Warmoth and Fender? I want to buy a JM body and will install a Mastery trem system, but have a pickguard in mind from https://decoboom.com/products/deep-gold-jazzmaster-pickguard-acrylic and Warmoth has said their bodies are routed to accommodate multiple pups so their guards are proprietary. Sigh.

Thanks,
OregonMike

Edit: Looks like a custom Terrapin guard is the best solution.

The most apparent difference is that the Fender pickguards extend to encompass the bridge while the Warmoth guards do not. There are then subtle differences in the contours, I once tried to fit one of those Jazzmaster "pickguard shields" to a Warmoth pickguard and stuff just did not want to line up. I wish I'd take  a picture of that. But, yes, Terrapin will make pickguards to Warmoth specs and they are always impeccable, I have bought many. Also, if you want to wait a year and a half or so Tone-Guard will make anodized aluminum guards to Warmoth spec.
