Warmoth Confederate Flag tele body?

Guy asked me to figure out what he has here. It's a Warmoth tele body with an All-parts tele neck. Not sure if the custom design was done by Warmoth or someone else, but my searches haven't found another like it. It's a confederate flag, partially hand painted and then cleared.

Its probably just a Warmoth body that someone decided to paint a flag on. It has a Joe Barden bridge and possibly the pickups are also Joe Barden's.

Yep - what he said:  It started as an un-finished body and someone painted the artwork on it.

If you expand the photo the OP attached, you can see there's a lot of carving on the surface as well.  That's definitely a post-purchase customization.

zero percent chance Warmoth did that custom body finish - it's just not what they do.
