hello,

anyone ever built a 34" scale 5-string bass using a Warmoth neck and body?

how was the Low B?

I'm really wanting to put together a 5-string Warmoth P-Bass, but unsure about the 34" scale.

opinions?

thanks  :)

I am in the process of doing a warmoth 5 string build, but I am using the high C tuning tuned down a whole step...DGCFA#.

I didn't have much use for the low b and i thought that the 34" scale would affect it. I wanna say that the Gecko 5 string from Warmoth is in 35" scale. It might be worth checking.

Let me first say that I don't have first hand experience with Warmoth 5 strings but...

While the extra inch on a Gecko surely should help, there are countless 34'' basses out there with a tight low B. My Pedulla 5 string has a tight B, even my deceased Ibanez ATK-305 had a proper low B.
Don't sweat it. If you'd want a 34'' 5 string, go for it. With Warmoth parts you can't go wrong.
