Roasted maple boatneck coming today with my first SS frets . I’ve always gotten the gold evo before but wanted 6105 on this . Really wish they would do 7.25 radius on a modern neck.

It’s a modern with th 10-16 compound but if it were available I’d get 7.25. I really prefer the modern construction to the vintage.

I see.

It is possible to get a straight 9.5-inch radius on the modern construction. Would that not be closer to what you are looking for?

Nice choice. I really like the color of the roasted maple Warmoth uses. I have both stainless steel and nickel frets. You'll love how smooth those stainless ones feel when you bend a note.

Yes eventually I’ll stop grumbling and have it built.

I like the SS frets. Both the feel of the material and the 6105 size are very nice. The roast maple burnished up nicely. Love the smell working the roasted maple.

Hear Hear! Not looking forward to having to remove the neck to adjust the truss rod. But I want a 7.25 too. Actually, if it was an option, I'd stick a 7.25" radius 1 5/8" nut baritone on my tele. But baritone means you give up your choice of nut width as well as radius. And they don't do 7.25 with a modern truss rod.

Thing is, you're unlikely to need to adjust the neck unless you're moving from the Himalayas to New Guinea between gigs.  But I, too, appreciate the ability to fine-tune the truss rod without removing the neck, at least in the initial setup.  I haven't had to reset any Warmoth necks (of which I've had five) in the 6 or 7 years I've been playing them.

What is this love for 7.25? Had that with a 1 5/8.  Could not get rid out that soon enough (and that’s back in the early 80s)
Actually considered using that neck as fodder for my wood stove at the time.
Loved the Guitar, agreed to a different neck to knock a few dollars off. Ugg mistakes in life.
Vintage is right? Nope. Not all the time.

I went through my SRV wannabe stage. Now I rarely bend at all. I slide but not bend. 7.25 is comfy.
