I didn't see this thread about waffles with the poll.  But I am always ready for some waffles.  I can go for the deluxe breakfast Waffle platter of $50.
Patrick

I can handle a double helping, but I doubt whether I could handle a third helping without the finance minister taking corrective action upside my head.

So, I don't think I can run the thing for some reasons: I don't want the headache that could happen if I win it, I'm not sure if I understand how to do it...

And the person I thought would be interested in running said he don't want to do it. So, any volunteer or lets call it a end?

Hey, maybe I'm just slow here.  Can you explain this a bit more.  I think I may know what your talking about but in the off chance I don't I could use an explanation.  If it is what I think it is, then I would also be in if allowed.  I'd probably be in for $25.

I am on a low carb diet..

but I would be in if the limit was set to one (or two at the most) waffles per person.

I agree. One or two waffles per person should be the limit.

It's probably what you think it is, unfortunately we can't say what it is directly, hence the altered speech.

So how bad were the paypal repercussions? What about a sacrificial paypal acoount? If I recall the account that was used was suspended. If its sacrificial then so what.

Need a person to run up the breakfast... nobody seems to want to cook... so, seems like dead...

PayPal also has a fundraising function where you can accept donations. The fees are reasonable. It would be $1.75 for a $50 donatin. You could add a link to your Facebook page. I know there were volunteers to do this if only there was a way.

The idea is everybody buys gift-certificates for breakfast, so there is no money transition... I think it's different to donate somebody money and donate a gift certificate number for a good...

This certificate idea was brought up as an alternative due to the PayPal fallout. This way would allow returning to the original format. I would offer to do this but I fear I do not have enough credibility and trust established.

Pabloman! I trust you  :icon_thumright:

The guitar sounds great! It is in the shop right now getting full fret and nut attention, and once I pay for that, I'll be saving my dough in order to get p-rails. (your pups to be regifted to another worthy forum member, of course.)

Awesome. Thanks for the update. I was just thinking about you and your guitar. Glad to hear its working out.  :headbang1:

The problem is yes they did suspend my account but they sent me a notice they would be doing so first. Once I got this notification I withdrew all the money and within a couple of days they actually froze the account. I few days after that they completly shut the account down. The funny thing is they won't let me close it but it can't be used for anything. I can't receive or send money with it. I have since set up a new account for myself but can't have my new one compromised.

Now as far as a sacraficial account "penpal" will not allow the amount of money we are talking about to be accepted and paid in the time frame that the whole thing takes place.

In addition yes "penpal" does allow donations but you need a tax payer exemption number. If anyone has one then yes we can run it and wouldn't even have to call it waffles anymore. I unfortunaly don't have a non-profit number to provide.

I would be willing to help organize any form of the waffle but I don't have any means to collect or distribute the funds. It is a shame because it was actually a pretty fun thing to do each year.
