Waffle this holiday season?

Would this work?

Everyone who wishes to participate purchase Warmoth gift certificates. Then those certificates are given to the waffle coordinator. The coordinator assigns our waffle numbers and sets up the random roll. Cash would not change hands, nor would any one's Paypal take a hit.

That's not a bad idea. Just change the "ship to" address on the order.

Only thing is, Warmoth has a $25 minimum order. Not sure if that applies to gift certificates, but I can't imagine they sell them in smaller denominations anyway. Still, it might limit participation somewhat.

Works for me, too. I usually overfill my plate with waffles, what with my eyes being bigger than my stomach and all.

I'd be in for a waffle if we're going to go with gift certificates. Would make for a very happy holiday, especially with some whipped cream or a Pau Ferro/Pau Ferro...

From what I can tell, the gift certs are just emailed out to you.  Printed copies are not mailed.  This works because the certs are serialized.

So - this is how I think it could work.

1 - waffle partakers buy a gift cert online
2 - email version of said cert is sent to said partaker
3 - partaker sends said cert to Waffle Admin
4 - Waffle Admin disperses collected certs in the manner agreed upon
5 - cert recipient orders up a custom waffle

Makes sense to me...

I'm in!

I say that whoever wins has to buy whomever the "waffle moderator" is a shirt that says "UW Waffle Moderator."

p.s. As a past waffle recipient, I'd be willing to chip in for said shirt... just sayin.

I'm in, for sure, in whatever manner this partay is going down.

and seriously . . . I scored grandma's '50s waffle iron the other day. Best. Thing. Ever.
