Viper Custom 1x12 cab finally finished!!!

I finished my custom 1x12 guitar cab, I call it "The Viper". The tolex in these pics look super purple, but actually it's more dark blood, burgundy color, I'll post some more pics when I get my buddy to let me borrow his nice camera. Right now it has a Celestion G12T-100 in it, but I'm going to get an Eminence Texas Heat for my Krank Revolution head, and an Alnico Blue 15-watter for the Blackstar head. I added some foam on the inside to keep it from reverberating weirdly, it sounds absolutely amazing! Enjoy the pics!

You better believe it was cheaper! I had the Speaker sitting on my shelf from an old cab that I swapped speakers and sold, so all I had to pay for was parts, wood and tolex, much cheaper than buying one from somewhere, and it was great experience building it too!

That came out pretty good!  How close did you come to the sound you were after?

I definitely got the sound I was looking for, a solid, thick sound for distortion, definitely spongey, but really defined and tight. I love it! The Blackstar sounds amazing through it, although the 100-watt speaker is inefficient for it, and my Krank Revolution head just totally owns through this thing! I'll post some clips when I get my camera back from a buddy that's borrowing it.

Cool build man! i built a 2 X 12 cab for my head b/c i got tired of hauling around my 4 X12 cab. It has orange tortex and looks really cool and sounds great!

Right now it has a 75watt Eminence Governor in it, because I've been using it at home with the Blackstar head (which is still too much for the head), but I have an Eminence Texas Heat-150watt speaker, and when that thing is in there, I use my Krank Revolution Head, DEFINITELY gig-worthy for sure, hella loud as well.
