Hurry up!Decided to just use some metal pickup rings to complete the guitar. Now I just need to finish wiring and stringing it up.

I am hoping to find some time focus on finishing "Precious" up by the middle of next month after things quiet down. Between work, playing Nurse Diesel (High Anxiety) to my wife during her recovery from knee surgery, another log was thrown on the fire with our daughter in the process of purchasing a house in the KC area. Hopefully I don't throw my back out moving furniture... All of this has taken all of my free time from enjoying finishing this guitar. Definitely looking forward to hearing how those pickups sound too.You are a bad man.
You have me looking at VIP bodies and mimicking this absolutely beautiful build....stunning. You are tickling the "I wants it" factor really high.
You are a bad man for she who must obeyed, aka the wife, is getting to the point of...you want another guitar??? really????
How you are liking this absolutely gorgeous instrument? Very curious about your take on the pups.
Finally got around to finish wiring up "Precious" and plugged her into my Synergy 20IR w. Engl Savage module. They can roar nicely and also play quietly. Glad I went with the pickups. That is going to be a terrific looking guitar. I've always toyed with the VIP and Mooncaster designs for a build. The VIP looks to have terrific upper register access.
Really interested to get your thoughts on those pickups. Before seeing your pickup choice, was going to recommend Seth Lovers from Seymour Duncan.
Cool guitar, laughable moniker. In trying to finish this guitar I found that I needed to get rid of some of the wood to get the pots close enough to secure. After seeing the pics Don O shared on finishing his VIP, I first contacted him and he was kind enough to reply back quickly on the solution he used. I ended up pulling out my FlexCut Jack Carvin' Jack Knive and went slowly (because I didn't trust myself with a drill for this).
