This one is my first VIP and the first build I documented in details:

The inspiration from it was a PRS Private Stock build from Brian's Guitars (www.briansguitars.com):

There were a few firsts for me with that one:
- building/routing a curly maple back plate and dying it (TransTint)
- dying tuner buttons to match the body and back plate
- potting and installing metal covers on humbuckers
Specs:
The last two pics are from the 1st version of the guitar with the metal buttons and mahogany backplate.

Specs:
- Body: semi-hollow quilt maple + mahogany. Finished by a pro shop in "dragon breath glow" effect using dyes only.
- Neck: Wenge with ebony fingerboard/headstock veneer/trussrod cover. 6150 stainless steel frets, no inlays.
- Hardware:every metal part has Como Black finish.
- Electronics: Gibson BurstBucker 2 & 3 with coil split
- Tuners: Gotoh SG301 updated with dyed curly maple buttons
- Backplates: I had one made out of mahogany and it was finished with the body. But it's fairly thin and not so flat anymore, so just for fun I tried making one out of curly maple and dyed it to match the body (I made it thicker in the center to hopefully mitigate warping).
