Which would get me closest to this? The vintage tint or clear gloss finish.

Thanks

Neither would be a good choice. Clear will be very pale, and vintage tint will be very orange/yellow.

Doesn't Warmoth offer a finish like that?

Would the vintage tint still work for this?

That last example looks like a clear body finish and a vintage tint neck.

The type of wood you put the finish on is going to change its color as well. With a clear finish, Maple will come out lightest, followed by Alder, then Swamp Ash, etc.

Hm.  I think of swamp ash being lighter than alder - maybe on account of the pinkish tan hue of the alder.

Looks like a clear finish to me.

You may be right. For some reason, I pictured Alder as slightly lighter

Wow!! Don't ask a simple question around here unless you want 20 or 30 different and conflicting answers!! In regard to the FIRST pic you posted, that looks to me like a clear neck finish, and a ''vintage tint'' body...best of luck with your build, and you can be sure that whatever you decide on, Warmoth will do it beautifully.

Tru-oil will also get you that body color with swamp ash if you're comfortable with finishing it yourself.
My body is currently that color after about 4-5 coats.

I have 2 vintage tint satin necks on maple ordered 3 years apart, and the newer is the oranger of the 2.  In the pic of the Tele Deluxe, I think it was a clear finish on the neck and has faded with age.  If that is a new guitar that is a reissue, it has a small hint of Amber tint, but definitely leans more on the clear side than vintage tint.  Should you go with a Warmoth neck finish, their satin finishes (which you didn't inquire about) aren't UV protectant, so a clear satin neck finish, the wood will yellow with prolonged sunlight exposure even if the finish doesn't.
