Velocity body size (against 7/8 Tele)

I like the Velocity body and also the 7/8 Tele. I thought that the Velocity were rather big (and I don't like it), but looking at the (light) weight of the available bodies I was confused.
Since I can't find any information about the size of each body (or is there somewhere?) I tried to compare a Velocity with a 7/8 Tele body just layering up the photos, and trying to fit the scale. And from the result that you can see, it seems to me that they are similar, or even there is more wood on the 7/8 Tele body! Hmmm... maybe I have a little gas for that carved Velocity body!

Could you work out the size from the neck pocket ?

It's a Strat neck pocket which is 3" long, so dividing that on a Velocity body picture by 3 will give 1" to scale then draw a grid of squares using that scale. And then you have the dimensions give or take a small amount.

You are correct. The Velocity measures a little less than 12" from the bottom of the neck pocket to the bottom edge, while a 7/8 tele measures exactly 12". A regular tele measures about 12 1/2".
