Yeah the Big 4-0 is this year and I wanted to build something harkening back to my youth, and style of the mid late eighties.
It is my "Mid-life" toy....
The wife was like, "At least it's not a vette', a motorcycle or a twenty year old college Co-Ed...."

Dude, NEVER post specs without pics. That's just a huge tease. Now I gotta sit here imagining what it looks like.......and not do any of my work.......and probably get fired........and then my wife will divorce me......and Japan will deport me......dammit!! See what happens!!!  :toothy10:

Hell it's MY guitar, don't you think I would LOVE to have pics to put up?
It would mean that it is here and I would have a couple days of spare time filled up...
As it is I still have approx 8 wks or so till then....

Sorry Mully.... :glasses9:

Get to work then ...

What is the 720 neck pocket mod if I might ask?

Lowers the neck pocket so that the fb overhang sits flat with the body without need for a pickguard.

So the 720 pocket mod would make a traditional pickguard incompatible? Unless of course if the pickguard was modded for the 720 pocket, no?

3 years later & we still get questions on it.
I copy/pasta'd my reply from the long-long ago:

You cannot 720 mod a body if:
you're buying a showcase body
you're needing an angled neck pocket (TOMs, bodymount (non-recessed) floyds)
you're using a pickguard
you're going to use a neck w/binding

Warmoth only offer the 720 mod on rear-routed bodies but if you were doing something radical you could make or modify a scratchplate so it fitted around the fingerboard rather than under it. It would look a bit odd I should think and if the plate extended round the top of the board like a strat it might obscure the side dots.

After a slight delay due to what was list as a TRAIN DERAILMENT.....wtf? :tard:
I should have it in my greedy little hands soon, after an appropriate period to drool all over my self I will post pics.

Yeah  ... sorry about that, I was just flattening some coins.  :laughing7:

We prefer pic's without drool all over it.  :icon_biggrin:
