This guitar is really great.  It sounds big with quite a bit of sustain.  Here's a clip of what it sounds like.  Please excuse the crappy singing.

Now that's funny!!  :headbang:

So do guitars that travel to 3 different countries during the finishing process have better tone than others? I think I remember reading that has more of an impact on tone than the types of tone woods it is made from.  :laughing7:

It looks great, I knew that was going to make a great vintage looking guitar! Sounds good too.

Vocals: I think if you work on your British accent you might pass as Richard Thompson.    :o

Thanks Greg!  I'm loving this guitar!  If memory serves me you've compared me to Richard Thompson before!  I guess those singing lessons were bound to pay off eventually.  :)

Been practicing for a little solo gig all night.  Really really liking this guitar.

Just did the little solo gig.  45 minute set at a local street party.  the guitar worked great - love the roasted maple neck!  Sounds great tool.

I think this might be the finest guitar I have.

Gentlemen,

I decided to have a bender installed in this guitar.  I boxed it up and sent it down to California (a bit ironic, that).  Just today I received this email:

Hi Trevor,

Your guitar has arrived safely along with payment. I’ll be contacting you as soon as it is ready to return ship.

Best,

Gene Parsons

Here we go!

Gentlepeople,

I've just received the guitar back from Mr. Parsons.  I'm at work so I can't really justify noodling on it all afternoon, but I promise pics soon.

oh - and it's great.  Everything I was hoping it would be.

You asked for pics and here they are!

The guitar itself is very playable and lively.  The bender works exceptionally smoothly with NO stiction anywhere.  I used it for rehearsal thursday night and I really really liked it.  Sadly the maple syrup smell is pretty much gone, but I'm glad that Mr Parsons got to experience it (he mentioned it and the fact that it was a pretty nice guitar).

This guitar's life just getting richer and richer!  It started out at Greg's place, then sent to Nando, then up to the great white north to me, then back to California about a 20 minute's drive from Greg's place, then back up to me.  I'm sure more adventures will come  :headbang:
