5. Hendrix (took the blues into outer space)

4. EVH (the King of rock, imho, 2 handed tapping + floyd rose into the mainstream)

3. Vai (the quintessential guitar god...i mean...he has a fan solely for the purpose of blowing his hair in the wind...that's badass  :party07:)

2. Adam Jones (not the most innovative player, but Tool is the definitive "Drop D" band, and that tuning has been beaten to death by countless players)

1. Buckethead ( imo the best player today..no one plays like that guy)
