There's a zebra in my house

This one is a conversion neck.  No neck pickup relocation needed.  The 7/8 have no fretboard extension and are 24 frets.  In both cases, no big overhang like the Fender scale 24 fret necks which do have neck pickup relocation.  If confused by how it can have more frets and no more overhang, the simple answer is it's a shorter scale and there's less space between each fret.

just a question, when I go to the custom-configurator, you can only get 24 frets for the neck, and you don't get the 24 fret reposition-option for the body, so that's already done?
I find it weird, though, that you can only get the FB 24 frets long, when it's a shorter-than-Fender-scale :icon_scratch:
not sure what you are asking. The body is a special 7/8 scale, and the neck is a special 24 3/4 scale neck (not really a "Conversion", because it doesn't convert anything). I suppose they could offer it with 23 frets and no fretboard overhang, but really any less frets and it would be like offering an 18 fret strat neck. there would just flat out be frets missing and that would look retarded. The reposition is not offered because the bodies are not strat bodies. they are 7/8 scale, and already have a special "reposition". You can't use these necks with any body except for a 7/8 scale S or T body.

Sometimes I just feel plain stupid!
Why, though, do they offer all the tremolos, but only some hartails?!? :blob7: Why can't I even get then strat-styled Schaller 475?!? :tard: You can choose the TOM/s-thru-bridges, but no schaller... :-\

Based on the responses, I don't think any of you like it. Think I'll just paint it solid black.  :toothy10:

It looks even better in person. I was shooting under a halogen bulb, so you're only getting some of what it really looks like. Everyone wants to know what I'm going to do with color and the neck and all that... I'd like to know too. I have some different ideas, but nothing set in stone. Feel free to make suggestions!

Interestingly, the 59 Roundback contour doesn't feel nearly as chunky as I expected. I suppose I won't know for certain until it's mounted and strung up, but comparing it to other regular-sized necks I have, it doesn't fill my hand any more than they do. The SS frets sure look nice, can't wait to play on 'em.

dude, I would tend to say put a bust on it. IDK what kind of burst, there are so many, but with that great striping, any kind would look great.  :occasion14:

:laughing7: i liked it :icon_biggrin:
I say either high gloss, or something that enrichens the color even more, with an added high gloss clear coat :icon_thumright:
Tint the neck :icon_jokercolor:

You have no idea how close I came to buying that body on numerous occasions, especially once they marked the price down.

I'm glad someone finally bought it, now I don't have to torture myself anymore!
