Theme Ibanez: Vought F4U Corsair

The Hellcat's canopy transitions into the spine of the aircraft; the Bearcat's canopy stands proud of it, like the P-47. And let me concede immediately that I have no idea why I am debating aircraft design on a guitar forum!

I want someone to do an F-111 theme build with moving delta wings that open for rhythm parts (i.e. slower) and sweep  (!) back during solos...

Hehe! That would be cool! You need to get on that right away. I'll wait here <grin>

That's not a Hellcat in Dangerous' post, it's an F8F Bearcat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F8F_Bearcat

Great looking guitar in the OP, but I concur that it would be a wall-hanger. I call it PRS syndrome: so nice you'd never want to touch it.
I did not thinkthat waqs a hell cat
and about PRS syndrome, I turned around one night on stage and hit a smbol with the neck of my PRS, not it no longer has that syndrome, I FIGURE THE VALUE IS RUINED.it has a small dent on the back of the neck.
Funny thing is I use it as a reference point now so I can tell were I am when it is dark onstage. It has real Value to me.

no! not a wall hanger! the more use the thing gets, the more beat-up character it gets. That's what is desireable, right? make it look old and used?

It doesn't have to be one extreme or the other. You can play the guitar without beating it up. Unless you play hardcore punk. Then the guitar becomes sacrificial.  :party07:
