I am HAMMERING you guys this week lol.  Don't you just love it when I'm between contracts??

Here's another one that's almost finished.  After this, I have one last one to fix and I can put the album out.  To date, I've made enough on MP3 sales to support a bi-monthly M&M habit.  Life couldn't be better!  :icon_biggrin:

Another good one. What's the inspiration behind this one ?

Careful with those M&Ms, pesky things that can creep up on you unawares and lead you off the path of good dental health :)

Thanks my man.  I conceived this one while we were playing along the Red Sea in 2014.  I was fascinated by the scales the muslim clerics were singing during their call to prayers, so I tried to capture some of that.  I ended up coming up with 3 or so songs that have that vibe.

I'm super weak at mixing bass guitar in - remains my biggest challenge.  It's inconsistent from song-to-song.  Once I work that out - I'm in business lol.  My fav song on ths upcoming release is probably, "They Fell to Earth".  It's a bear to mix, though.  Made some great progress last night.  Hopefully done Monday!  :rock-on:

One of my favorites by you, Frank.  This is great.  Love the vibe.  And, as always, great playing!  :icon_thumright:

Really like this Frank. Killing it brotha. It was a good little break from my studies, glad I took the time  :toothy11:.

Lemme know when the album is out. This is the kind of music I'll pay money for.

You cats are the bestest!

Man, it's highs and lows. One minute I think I have the mix down - sounds amazing in earphones and my monitors then it sounds like poop in my car.  Frustrated gang. Frustrated!

I'm considering having a pro mix it if I can't nail it down soon.

I've always been amazed that anything sounds good in a car. It's such a crappy environment. Even very high-end sound systems can be disappointing.

For your ear and because of that, though, consider that you may never be happy with the car mix. Get other opinions.

I recall reading that, in addition to favoring mono, Brian Wilson would check Beach Boy mixes on car speakers set up in the studio. He figured, rightly so no doubt, that those were the kinds of speakers most folks would be listening to him on.

Hey thanks brother. Glad you have it a whirl!  What are you studying?

Nursing. I am in my last semester. Got 3 months till my national boards. Can't wait to be done it is consuming my life. Poof guitars are barley getting the dust knocked off em  :tard:

Great advice. It led me down the rabbit hole. Mono revealed phasing issues that I an correct amongst other things!

Surf - sweet!  My fiancé is a CRNA. She always talks about the gauntlet of tests and such. I bet you can't wait!

Cagey - yah man. I should've figured such. Nothing on my iPhone sounds good in my car lol.
