I remember 48th street and buying my first electric guitar at Manny's back in 1981. Took the bus into town, walked in, felt intimidated by all the guitars, older guys who must have been 20 years old, never saw anything like it in my life, but I was determined to buy a tele, just like Bruce Springsteen. Subsequently, I learned it was an esquire, and what I bought was an excellent Korean Knock-off that I sold over 30 years ago ... to buy a warmoth body ... which I sold to buy another warmoth ... but that's another story.
