Curious, how does the red devil sound on its own, and how does it match pearly gates?  What pots did you use?

To me, it sounds like a neck humbucker and matches well with the Pearly Gates when both are on together.  It gives a good HSH type set up in an HSS format.

The pots are Emerson Pro CTS Pots, 500K-ohm, the cap values etc should be in the build thread with the wiring diagrams.

A beautiful guitar.

Many thanks for the feedback on the guitar and the build threads...appreciated :eek:ccasion14:

That finish on the upper horn looks like the view out the window when going light speed through the Kessel run, which Mr Solo did in 12 parsecs, not 14.

I’m curious about the trek, how it performs, your thought on its engineering, etc.

I notice that one of the lockdown screws has its flat work on the bottom side to the top of the string.  As the bridge pivots, it would seem to me that it might either pinch or “klank” the string undesirably.

Any feedback on that?

@TFS thanks...

On the trem it performs very well and is indeed very well engineered. I think using the Gotoh/Wilkinson studs that Warmoth sells is the way to go with fitting this rather than the ones that came with it. This was discussed in the build thread.

All of the strings are locked in a similar way so I am not sure what you are seeing. Nonetheless there is no pinch or klank and the tuning stability is excellent. Definitely not a gimmick but very workable.
