Hi guys, first post here.
I really wanted to love the Les Paul Traditional I bought around 6 months ago, but I just couldn't bond with it. I'm a 25.5 scale guy at heart but I love the LP tone. So I decided to put together my own mashup of all the things I love about LP's, Tele's, and Strats. I called it the Telebastard.
It has a magogany body and 59 profile mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard and headstock overlay. I designed the logo and sent it to ReproGraphX. They print actual silver ink onto a clear transfer sheet with adhesive on the back of the ink. After application, only the ink remains on the headstock. It worked out really well.
The plastics are Creamtone, and the pickups are Manlius hot rod 59's. I chopped up a full LP harness from MSSC and used half on this guitar, and half in my HSS Strat. The guitar sounds insanely good. It has the classic Les Paul tone with just a bit more spank from the 25.5 scale. I'm really loving this one!
