Tele Special (Tonarcaster)

Nice guitar and excellent photography!

Did you get some family portrait or good individual personal photos with that professional session Max, the person seems to know what they are doing with lenses. Would have been worth it to sneak a shot or two with the folks or just a good one of yourself. :dontknow:

Looks like a successfully completed Rubik's cube to me.

Or an unused one! I actually bought a second rubiks cube after I couldn't sold the first one, threw it around a little (for dings), then said I completed it. I just can't seem to get those buggers to work!

beautiful finish, beautiful pickguard shape. have you cut it yourself? i have no idea if the pickguard material is easy to work with.
A great take on a classic, and inspiration for me. i am looking forward to make a tele, but am stuck with the classic 'flame maple with whatever burst' finish. This finish is actually great (but impossible to have it again ... :p )
Congrats, have fun playing it

Max, my man, it turned out great!  You have custom touch from stem to stern on this thing--if anyone were to ever ask "why build when you can buy,"  this is the perfect example!  Remeber what I told you earlier on Facebook though--if you bring this to college, either put some sort of serial number on it, or have the public safety department put an asset tag on it and register it with the university. This will keep people from lifting it when you least expect it, or if anything should happen, it can be tracked easily.

Hey Max, how are the Rutters saddles working for you? I'm interested in what the aluminum saddle is suppose to do for your sound. Great looking tele!

Those are Glendale saddles. I like the sound, but I haven't changed the saddles yet, so I can't honestly say. Intonation is good, though.

Just got in from NC.  My review:  I give it an 11!  Makes me want a Tele even more.

I really liked the finish and the neck.  I was kind of surprised at how the 59' Roundback shape felt.  I am more likely to go for one of those rounder contours in the future after trying it out.  The sound was very nice.  I do wish I had brought my Strat for a side-by-side comparison of Ken's pickups though.

Congrats on an awesome axe, Max!  :eek:ccasion14:
