Imagine that with copper hardware, and that's what I want.  I'll never be able to get it though because a 3 pc. rosewood core makes the body alone come to over $700, and that's crazy.  Eventually I'll get basically that but with a mahogany core instead.

My sorta-Tele...

Carved top hollow Maple over Alder body, Kingwood over Canary neck w/ SS 6100s & Schaller mini-lockers, Seymour's JB humbucker at the StringSaver saddle-equipped Gotoh bridge and a GFS TrueCoil at the neck.

This thing sounds and plays so sweet, it's like a gift from above.

I can only claim "Telecaster-shaped" guitars, my homies at the Steel Guitar Forum get huffy over things like scalloped f'boards and Lawrence flamethrower pickups, though I am pure at heart.

^^^ StubHead, that Tele wouldn't happened to have been built by Fred at Guitar Zone would it?  I remember a couple of years ago I was in there and he showed me a metal Tele he was building for a customer.

And by the way, big congrats to Max on his GOTM Tele.  Gorgeous guitar!  :hello2:

Regarding my Tele, I went back to my original build post with black hardware.  I ultimately changed the hardware for gold, but discovered I never posted a pic of it with the gold hardware.

My 2 Warmoth Teles (and only electrics at the moment)

The blue Tele Deluxe might be under construction soon. But the orange Tele is perfect! Love that guitar.

As long as that blue one is under re-construction, you might want to consider putting a larger pickguard on it. You never know - you could get attacked by a vicious guitar-eating flock of picks, and the existing guard doesn't quite cover the entire face of the instrument <grin>
