Tele bridge PU suggestions?

I am current stewing up plans for a new Warmoth and I've got serious GAS for a Jazz-caster.  I'm thinking about doing a HB neck pickup and a tele bridge.  However I don't know squat about tele pickups as I've never had to purchase any.  I'm considering going noiseless since 60-cycle drives me crazy but I'm not set on it.  I want something a little fuller and fatter sounding than a stock tele pickup so it'll keep up with the neck humbucker.

So to all the tele experts out there, got any suggestions for me??  :help:

Maybe a Little '59?

Others will differ, but to me overwound tele bridge PU's seem to lose all of the magic a more vintage wind possesses. Of course with a tele it's a given that a lot of people think it's nothing but twang and don't understand how to coax the magic out of it in the first place.

I should add that I have nothing against good overwound strat PU's or HB's or pretty much anything else. But IME, if you overwind a tele bridge PU it loses everything that makes a tele bridge PU what it is, and you end up with something else entirely (which again is something some might prefer).

i haven't tried this pickup but i like what i read...

I have a Lollar special S strat pickup and a P90, so I know he makes quality stuff.

Not a big fan of Dimarzio personally.  I suppose I'm not really looking for a "proper" tele bridge sound either

Tim from BKP will wind you a custom pickup for a really great price, since they hand wind them anyways. I'd email him with what you want. He won't do hum-cancelling, though.

Well, depends of what you're meaning on custom... Recently they stop making pickups with changes on the original pickups' line... Like I can't change the magnet of a pickup anymore, etc... That is sad and a bit weird to me... but it is as happening now...

I've owned little 59, area T, Lollar Special T, GFS something, Seymour Duncan JD signature, and maybe some others. The Area T sounds good and is extremely quiet. My favorite is the SD JD sig. It does everything you ever wanted a tele pickup to do.

I meant the winding, I usually don't bother with changing magnets because I always go for strictly vintage/low output pickups.

I've also played Ken's Roadhouse tele pickup, I thought it was great but I didn't need one at the time. Also owned a Bill Lawrence (real) keystone tele set, the bridge was good sounding, but more like a strat than a tele. I liked the neck better on that set.

So, the information that I've is "no custom winding anymore from BKP"

I'd be interested in hearing about this T-90 thing that Max has got, it'd be cool to buy from Ken...his pickups sound pretty sweet.

I've got a lot to think on, thanks for all the suggestions!

The Maxsignal was put up, so here I am

I like the T-90. It doesn't have that normal tele attack, but it's more like a slightly brighter, twangier p90. It's a really nice pickup, and you can have it made how you like it.

GFS NeoVin Tele Brg,  SC Voiced, hum-cancelling, plenty of spank, nice & full sounding, easy on the wallet so you can still go out to eat at Red Robin.

At the risk of spamming the boards, I'll second Max's suggestion of the Roadhouse T-90.  I installed one of these yesterday, and it's a great hybrid if you're looking for something other than "hot modern" or "icepick."  It grunts and growls with a Fender shimmer.
