I wonder how they interview for the painter job(s) at Warmoth? Those guys do a phenomenal job.

Warmoth: "Are you the superphenomenal painter who makes out-of-this-world finishes?"

Painter-to-be-hired: "Yes."

Warmoth: "You're hired."

There's probably a "let's see your portfolio and talk to your references" step somewhere in there.

Also, there's a job opening listed in the paint shop even as we speculate:

It's on the sanding and buffing crew, i.e., probably not all that far above entry level, but you might as well apprentice yourself to the best.

No doubt. Gotta be a high-pressure job, though. No room for mistakes. Some of those bodies go for a helluva lotta money, and it's catalyzed poly. Can't really strip it very easily and start over, so it's either do it right the first time or go back to being the toilet polisher.

A little something arrived in the mail today. The last piece of the puzzle! Ans she is a beaut!!
Roasted maple and a little ebony.

I got some big tests coming up in school so it is gonna take a moment to get her together but I can't wait to burnish her up. I did a test fit to the body and it is a super tight perfect fit. Just super stoked.

Awesome work, brother.

So here's the deal:  I'm moving back to San Jose (new job starts December 1), and we can compare groovy new burst Strats when I get back up there!

TWANG.

Thanks guys!

Bagman Awesome! I will have a break from school mid December to end of January. I will warn you I am not the best player but I have fun nonetheless  :laughing3:

Verry nice! Looking forward to a review on how the roasted Maple plays and sounds.

I can tell you this, with the burnishing this neck feel so fast and smooth. Smoother than my Canary neck although maybe I just got better at that technique. It is probably the sum of all the parts but the notes ring for days. The neck fit supper tight in the pocket so maybe that has something to do with it. One great thing is how good it smells. I hope that never goes away. I am still tweaking and adjusting so I will report back when I got it dialed in.
