Tabacco burst e-flat Strat

Ha that was my first thinking. That looks great Bagman. Nice body. I like the parchment. What neck you putting with that?

I like that vintage pearl. I'd like it better if it had a black (or tortoise) center laminate....but I agree, it's really hard to settle on one with that burst finish. It's almost like everything sorta works, but not perfectly. My eyes WANT to see the burst all the way round, and a pickguard just covers it.

thats the one...

Thanks, man.

I was going to do an ebony-on-wenge job with no inlays, but it was just to dark.  I picked up a super-cheap brand-new Carvin neck - ebony on maple, dot inlays - that I've Tru-Oil'd.  Gotta install threaded inserts this weekend and then it's just a matter of waiting for the brown truck to arrive with the gold screws so I can assemble.

Can't wait to see it. I think that is gonna pair well!

Well parts are trickling in. I got my trem, tuners and pickups. I scored some Schaller F-series locking tuners to match my trem. Also got a set of BKP, the 59 slabboard models. I wanted a low output vintage style pickup. Always fun to get treats in the mail.

It's Christmas in September! LOL!

Haha Yes it is. Schaller got that to me in 3 weeks, in case you or anyone was wondering. They dont give atracking number though. Kinda like it is a good surprise when it comes.

This? +100. With the neck you've got planned I think this will be a killer combination.

I'll be really interested to hear what you think of that Schaller bridge too. I was debating using that one for my next Strat, but wound up going with the Wilkinson again. Tried and True and all that...

Nice tremolo ;)

Cant wait to see our review on this one...

Haha Thanks. I was going back and forth between the 2000 like the one you got on that beauty of yours and this one. This one just kept drawing me back though. I like the look of the wide stance with the posts. Can't wait to get my neck. I just want to see it before I make my final decision on the body.

Well ordered the body yesterday  :toothy12: Found a nice alder one piece in tobacco burst in the showcase so I jumped on it.

Still waiting on the neck. Soon I think, hope.

Mmm... reminds me of a Strat one of my brothers let get away that was one of those "magical" pieces you always regret moving. He sold it to buy an SRV Strat that didn't sound nearly as good. I predict great things for this one.

Thanks guys. I am really excited about this build. I am feeling good about all the parts, just gonna take my time putting her together and make sure it is right.

Day of presents!! First check out this amazing neck plate from Doug aka DR6!

And my body came. I couldn't resist a quick mock up.

Super happy with the alder piece. Awesome burst job and a beautiful piece of wood.

I wonder how they interview for the painter job(s) at Warmoth? Those guys do a phenomenal job.
