Thinking i am gonna go with a Surf Green build but i still not 100% on the finish.

At the moment i am leaning most towards surf green but i am not sure how bright or what the final product will look like, difficult to tell from the site photos.

Anybody have an example of any guitar in that colour from Warmoth i can see?

Images on the web seem to vary alot.

Cheers

I built this one, and in real life the color is not so washed out with white.  A bit more depth.  The color was taken originally from the late 50's Chevy colors.  Reranch has a color page, and there are some pages of Chevy car colors from the 50's you can find that have quite accurate representations of it.  If you want more blue in it, go for Seafoam Green.

Surf green looks like it's got less blue in it than seafoam green:

Other shots of surf green on the W site lean further into yellow (not ACTUALLY yellow, but more yellow as a component of the green) than the Bass VI example above:

I'd say if you're going to have a matching painted headstock go with rosewood.  If you're not then go with maple or flame maple.

I agree, except that I'd lean toward ebony if you're going painted-headstock.  Or pau ferro.  Love those tight-grained hardwoods!
