I bought a set of these for one of my les pauls. I love these pickups, they are a very versatile set. I took a chance and bought them without actually playing them first, heard them from youtube. I've got to say it was probably one of the better pickup choices i've made.
An alternative, I'd suggest maybe a set of Seymour Duncan 59 humbucker set, or a pearly gates set.
I was thinking of Seymour duncan SH4 (JB MODEL bridge) and SH2N (JAZZ MODEL neck) or Lollar
(but these pickups are unavailable in my conutry and too expensive :tard

I've always been a big fan of dimarzio pickups, although im no expert and havent tried loads of pickups, but out of all the seymours ive tried. they just dont do as good a job as the dimarzio counterparts in my opinion. i love the steve vai evo pickup. they are the most responsive pickup i have used.

You don't have to buy from Italy. I'm in Greece and I order from USA very often, I don't pay customs fees for small items like pickups or pedals. Just find an online store to have them in stock and pay with paypal or a credit card. I prefer Suhr pickups from S.D. & DiMarzio. The Aldrigh set has more output than the JB & Jazz. They are the most powerful pickups Suhr makes. Lollar does not come close in terms of output, all his humbuckers are vintage voiced.
Ebay? Direct online with Suhr perhaps? These ways may be cheaper..
You don't have to buy in a retail store in Itlay, the Euro is stronger against the US dollar at the moment, maybe worth checking the conversion rates and shipping charges compared against what you will pay retail from a store in Italy? Your customs and duty regulations are SUPPOSED to be same as other parts of Europe and the Dutch and Norwegians seem to order from the USA quite well, judging by their participation on this forum?
Even getting some Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio pickups might be on a special order, not every store will have all their pickups in stock.
Do you have the money ready to buy? Because it is a buyers market at the moment for anything from the USA....

of course.
With the strong euro (1€=1,3943$ at this mornent) is convenient to rely on imports, but... I WANT buy in ITALY, it's important for me and for our economy (someone will laugh but I believe that the ascent starts from small things).
Lollar are vintage output, ok! But the sound is simply.... amazing.
p.s.:
in Italy there're SUHR pickups: 82€ for single coil and 100-110€ for humbukers (medium price).
The Lollar are unavailable
