what brand of wall hangers are you guys/galls using. I looking for something sturdy/safe that will not leave hanger marks, and is low profile ie not giant. stylish would be welcome, but not needed.
thanks
Bob

+1 Hercules makes the best stands and wall hangers out there, imho.

+1.  Been liking my Hercules stands and wall hangers.

Don't use them; have 4 of these ProLine 5 guitar stands and some singles for the rest:

I use the Off The Wall hangers.  IMHO they are the best looking.  My only complaint is that they have left a very slight darkening on my raw rosewood neck.  All the finished necks are fine.

I don't use wall hangers either. I used to have a stand similar to that but a few months back I was awoken one morning a little after 5:00am by the shaking of a 6.6 earthquake. Luckily enough none of my guitars were harmed. Since that time I've been buying hard cases every time I have some extra cash. As it stands right now I need to buy a case for this new guitar that I'm working on now and everything will be safe.

unless the entire house crashes down on them then it doesn't really matter about those cases

I use those as well, but I turn mine 90 degrees clockwise so I can get both of what would be the top 2 screws in the same stud and leave the third empty.  It works out a little better as well because this way the hanger has to be rotated a 1/2 turn to come out instead of 1/4 turn.  I have noticed a slight darkening on my Wenge neck as well when using the newer ones with the memory foam.  The older ones have a plastic like would be found on the insulated handles of a pair of Channel-Locks.

That memory foam is a bear on a guitars finish. I'm sorry I'm not entirely the solution but I can be part of it. There is some place out there that makes little sock like things that go voer those things. I have 4 of them that I grabbed at a guitar shop a loooooong time ago. I wish I had the name of that company for you. Hopefully someone here will.

I've been using String Swing wall hangers for years now with no problems.
