Stripping and re-finishing White Korina

I've never done this before, but I'm planning on re-finishing a used PRS Korina singlecut.

Stripping is straightforward (I know to avoid the korina dust!), but I am after a darker look and I can't find much information on re-staining white Korina in this way. Also, I don't want a glossy guitar. I've done a lot of searching here but it's mostly information on black korina.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this? I found this reply that uses Danish oil to darken up the wood nicely. It looks great to me although it's walnut:

Careful withe the fingerboard side markers if you go chemical. Use the search function
for oil finishes , check the DIY finishing thread a few guys use oil. Good luck

No pics, I don't have the guitar yet. If you're asking for pictures of the desired finish, I don't have a specific idea in mind except I want something darker brown that would match well with the rosewood fretboard. I'm just looking for ideas for the best types that will match up and highlight the korina.

Sweet jesus I can't get these fudging verification letters right!
